Copper Brewing raises $10,000 for Habitat for Humanity Okanagan with special beer – Kelowna News

Mixing funds for Habitat

A special beer from Copper Brewing raised $10,000 for Habitat for Humanity Okanagan.

Kelowna Brewery created Builders Pilsner several years ago. As part of the company’s fifth anniversary celebrations in August, Copper Brewing donated the first $10,000 raised solely from Builders Pilsner sales to Habitat.

“We believe in the power of community and the importance of a safe and stable home,” Sean White, co-owner of Copper Brewing, said in a press release. “With Builders Pilsner, we’re not just making a beer; we build hope.

The Central Okanagan Chapter of the Canadian Home Builders Association also served as a partner in this initiative, which aims to improve access and affordability of housing in the valley.

This money was generated through the sale of the pilsner at the Copper Brewing tasting room, located at 1851 Kirschner Rd. in Kelowna and through retail sales at liquor stores. Copper Brewing’s goal is to bring Builders Pilsner to more local liquor stores to further help Habitat for Humanity Okanagan.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible customers and partners,” said Darla Ariss, co-owner of Copper Brewing.
