Jake Paul shares social media post confirming ‘official rules’ for his Mike Tyson fight – Boxing News

Jake Paul shared a social media post confirming the “official rules” for his controversial fight against Mike Tyson and it instantly went viral.

Paul welcomes Tyson return to the professional world boxing.

Paul vs. Tyson takes place next Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington as the event suffered a last minute setback.

The fight, which was sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, will be fought over eight two-minute rounds.

Before resuming his professional career against the former heavyweight champion of the world, Paul took to social media to reveal the “official rules” for their clash.

On wrote: “Official rules for #PaulTyson. Someone gets knocked out. The end.”

The 27-year-old enters his fight against Tyson having won seven of his 10 victories over the distance, stopping Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

“Iron” Mike, meanwhile, made his name as a knockout artist, but he hasn’t fought professionally since his shock loss to Ireland’s Kevin McBride in June 2005.

Paul vs. Tyson was supposed to take place earlier this year until the boxing legend, 58, suffered an ulcer flare-up.

Speaking in a documentary promoting the heavyweight fight – via the Independenthe revealed his reaction to the fight being postponed, saying: “When I got the news that he was out and unable to fight, I was just numb.

“I was like, ‘Fuck…’ I’m the kind of person who likes to have a schedule and likes to know what I’m doing. That put a damper on all that. I could do it, it was beyond my control.

“No one can tell Mike Tyson what to do, and if he wants to fight me, of course I’ll say yes.

“This is the opportunity of a lifetime to fight one of the two most famous boxers of all time: Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

“I consider Mike Tyson a killer, so I didn’t really expect something like that.”
