Asmongold says the FBI contacted him about a $30,000 bounty for streamers

Asmongold revealed that he was contacted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding a $30,000 bounty offered by another Twitch streamer, but chose not to pursue any action.

During his broadcast on November 8, a viewer told him that they had seen a clip of a “streamer putting a $30,000 bounty” on him and that he “didn’t get banned.” In response, Asmon first pointed out that the individual responsible was “joking.”

After a long pause, he continued to provide more context about the event, stating, “The FBI actually contacted me about this. » Explaining why he decided “not to press charges”, he continued: “I rewatched the clip and she clearly wasn’t talking about me, so I thought it was a waste of time . »

Although Asmon initially did not name any specific people involved, a viewer later mentioned former Blizzard employee Mark Kern, also known as Grummz, as the true target of the bounty, which is the streamer Twitch. Denims jokingly offered $30,000 to anyone who could make Grummz “disappear”.

Toneman, who had offered the initial $20,000 bounty on Grummz, was therefore banned from X/Twitter.

“She wasn’t talking about me, that’s why I didn’t push it, even though maybe it could have been interpreted that way,” Asmon concluded.

Before this conversation, Asmon had discussed the central committee ban on Twitch streamer after comments they made about YouTube and Kick content creator Destiny.

Of the latter, Central Committee, also known as Mike from Pennsylvania, said: “Holy shit, guys, if you live in Florida, I have an opportunity for you. If you want to win $100,000, let me know.

Although the length of the ban is not known, the Central Committee later admitted that they “deserved the ban”, saying the statement was a “joke”.

Asmongold is no stranger to being banned for controversial comments, of course, after receiving a Twitch’s two-week wait time in October for his comments on Palestine.
