Grand Central Bakery recalls frozen pies and pie dough

Grand Central Bakery has issued an FDA-approved recall warning for several “U-Bake” pie products due to traces of undeclared eggs they contain.

“People with allergies or sensitivities to eggs are at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,” Hayley Estep, a spokeswoman for Grand Central Bakery, said in an email. “So far, neither the FDA nor Grand Central have received any reports of illnesses resulting from the undeclared egg.”

The affected products include U-Bake Pie Dough, U-Bake Apple Pie and U-Bake Marionberry Pie products labeled with expiration dates between February 1, 2025 and April 20, 2025, and were sold in stores across the bakery in Portland and Seattle, Estep said.

U-Bake Chicken Pot Pie products with expiration dates between November 1, 2024 and January 20, 2025 are also subject to recall, she said.

The recall is a food labeling issue, Estep said, and anyone not allergic to eggs can safely eat the products.

Anyone wanting a refund on recalled products can obtain one by contacting the Grand Central Baker cafe support team at [email protected] or at their website.
