A Paramount Network spokesperson said: “Kevin played an important role in Yellow stonesuccess. Although we had hoped to continue working with him, we unfortunately did not find a window that suited him, all the other talent, and our production needs to move forward together. We respect that Kevin has prioritized his new film series and wish him the best.”

Last year, Sheridan told the Hollywood journalist“My opinion of Kevin as an actor has not changed… His creation of John Dutton is symbolic and powerful… and I never had a problem with Kevin that he and I couldn’t resolve within phone But Once lawyers get involved, people can’t talk to each other and start saying things that aren’t true and try to blame it on how the press or public seems to react. I don’t know anyone who deserves it. His film seems to be a big priority for him. and he wants to change direction I hope (the film) is worth it – and it’s good.” He added: “I’m disappointed. It truncates the conclusion of his character. It doesn’t change him. , but that truncates it.”

Costner said GQ any possible return to Yellow stone-the verse is between him and Sheridan. “Taylor and I know what the conditions are for coming back, and I will keep that between us,” he said. “And if we can’t do it, it’s because at the end of the day it’s unreasonable for them or something.”

Even so, Costner said he still enjoys playing John Dutton: “I love that character. I love that world. I’m a very script-oriented person. And if the scripts aren’t there now, I’ll I need to know what I want to do.” I want to make sure the character fits what’s important to me too. And it’s just between, again, Taylor and me. Will we ever get there?
