Missing child alert canceled for two young boys, both found safe at Hermitage

(UPDATE: October 24, 2024) — The two children at the center of a missing child alert in Nashville have been found safe in Hermitage, Tennessee, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reports.

A recent arrest affidavit says Rico and Elijah’s biological mother, Sarah Meyers, entered the home of the boy’s custodial grandmother, Holly Featherman. Featherman is also believed to be Meyer’s biological mother.

After entering Featherman’s home, authorities learned that Meyers attacked her until she “lost consciousness” in order to take the boys.

After the missing child alert was issued, Meyers and the two boys were found Wednesday evening.

Meyers faces two counts of custodial interference and one count of child neglect. She is also accused of stealing the car she used to take the boys, a red Lincoln that belonged to Featherman.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) issued a Missing Child Alert for a 1-year-old child on Wednesday and three months.

Rico, 1, and Elijah, 3 months, have brown hair and brown eyes and are believed to be with their non-custodial mother, Sarah Meyers.

The TBI and MNPD believe the group was traveling in a cream 1997 Lincoln Town Car with Tennessee license plate number BDL 2290.

If you have seen this car, Rico, Elijah or Meyers, call MNPD at 615-862-8600 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
