When Rachel Boston doesn’t win viewers’ hearts in the latest Hallmark movie, she’s probably comfortable with those who have hers.

She and chef Tolya Ashe got engaged in 2021 and welcomed their daughter, Grace, a year later.

Soon after, Boston was back on the set of the Hallmark Channel show. Meet the Delaneyswhere she was joined by her mother and her baby Grace.

“It was so wonderful to know that my daughter is so loved and cared for like that. It’s such a good feeling for me,” she told PEOPLE in 2022. “Then making a movie every day , where I’ll put myself in the scene and my mother in the film comes to see my daughter, who is with my real mother, and check on me (it’s special… We all take care of each other).

She got engaged to Ashe in 2021

Boston announced his engagement to Ashe – a private chef – in an Instagram post from June 15, 2021.

“My forever love ,” she captioned a romantic photo of the couple, simply adding “engaged” as the location.

Boston previously revealed that she and Ashe were first introduced by one of her sisters in 2010.

“We actually had the classic Hallmark beginning, where you’ve known each other for a long time and family is involved,” she said during a common appearance on Home and family in December 2020, before sharing that they didn’t immediately start dating. “But then we reconnected and it was just divine timing.”

They welcomed their daughter in 2022

Boston shared the happy news of her pregnancy on Instagram in October 2021.

“It’s a girl!!!! Thank you for choosing me to be your mom,” she wrote alongside a stunning photo of her cradling her baby bump with the sun setting in the background. “I’m so excited by our upcoming journey and I can’t wait to show you this magnificent world! You are a light on this earth I can already see and feel it .

She and Ashe then welcomed their daughter, Grace, on January 14, 2022.

Boston announced the arrival of the little girl on Facebook, writing: “Welcome to the world my little angel!!!! Baby Grace is here and our hearts are so full!!! Thank you to everyone who surrounds us with so much love. #amazinggrace #2022 #welcomehome.

Over the years, Boston has shared sweet images of Grace, including the little girl visiting him on a Hallmark movie set in July 2022. Alongside the photo, the doting mom shared how the moment made her feel.

“That smile!!! My favorite person came to see me at work,” she wrote. “Being a new mom while playing a mom is an incredible feeling. Thanks to our producers and crew and everyone at @hallmarkchannel for supporting working women and moms and @paulcampbellofficial for all the dad jokes.

In August 2022, Boston spoke with PEOPLE about playing an on-screen mom for the first time since becoming a real mom.

“It’s so interesting to think about how differently I would have played some aspects of new motherhood,” she said. “It’s really exciting to be able to reclaim motherhood and to be able to tell these stories now with this understanding.”

Boston was also joined by another special woman on set: her own mother, bringing three generations of women together in her real life at her workplace.
