Medina County officials pursue Ohio suspect Amber Alert accused of kidnapping 7-year-old

EMPIRE, Ohio (WOIO) – One Amber Alert was issued Monday afternoon for a missing 7-year-old child last seen with a man in a damaged car.

The Amber Alert was canceled at 9:15 p.m. after local authorities began pursuing the suspect.

The Medina County Ohio State Highway Patrol was involved in the pursuit of the suspect in Medina County around 8:45 p.m. Monday evening.

OSHP would not provide any additional information.

Oaklynn Alexander, 7, is missing from Empire, Ohio.

Oaklynn has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet tall and wears a gray hoodie, black pants, and black and white shoes.

According to Ohio’s Amber Alert website, Oaklynn is believed to be with 43-year-old Charles Alexander.

Alexandre has brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5′8″ tall and weighs 205 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a dark gray sweatshirt and jeans.

Oaklynn and Charles were in a gray 2018 Ford F150, but the truck was found unoccupied.

Police now believe Oaklynn and Charles are in a 26-foot U-Haul truck.

The truck is a 2023 U-Haul Ford F-650 26′ truck with Arizona license plate number AL74169.

Authorities say Charles took Oaklynn after an altercation at a family member’s home at 3 p.m. He does not have custody of the 7-year-old child.
