Berks leaders thank those who made the elections run smoothly

The Berks County Board of Elections extends its deepest gratitude to the county Department of Election Services, our outstanding volunteers and the dedicated election workers who
enabled the smooth running of this year’s general elections.

Each of you played a vital role in ensuring that our electoral process was effective, accessible, fair and secure. Your dedication to maintaining our democratic process has proven once again that when we work together, we can create an environment that allows every citizen to exercise their right to vote freely.

The preparation and organization required to facilitate the smooth running of elections cannot be overstated. From training poll workers, to ensuring polling locations are set up properly, to managing the voter registration process, and to answering countless questions from the community, our poll workers have demonstrated with remarkable resilience and attention to detail.

They navigated the complexities of Election Day with a professionalism, patience and commitment to excellence that did not go unnoticed. It is clear that the hard work of all members of the election service reflects a deep sense of responsibility to our county.

However, while Election Day will get most of the attention, there is still much work to be done to ensure that Berks County is able to certify the results of the 2024 general election in a timely manner. work ahead for election services, and the 2025 primary elections in May are closer than you think.

The collective efforts of our Department of Election Services remind us that democracy thrives when people are willing to serve their communities with dedication and pride.

The Board of Elections also expresses its gratitude to the voters of Berks County. Your participation is what makes our democracy strong and vibrant. Thank you for taking the time to make your voice heard, whether you voted in person or by mail.

The act of voting is a powerful expression of community and engagement. Voting and a fair, secure process are the best solutions to a turbulent and hotly contested national election.

Once again, thank you to everyone involved in our elections for your hard work, dedication and commitment to Berks County. You showed us the power of community and the importance of civic duty, and we are deeply grateful for everything you did to make this election a success.
