Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee and daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, says she thinks “Rick Scott would do an incredible job” as Senate majority leader.

“If you’re a person who wants this to happen, make sure you call your senator, make sure you call and say ‘hey, I want Rick Scott,'” she said, speaking on the popular conservative YouTube channel. The Benny Show.

Rick Scott is one of three names floated as a potential candidate for Senate Majority Leader, alongside John Thune and John Cornyn.

Republicans flipped the Senate in this election and will vote by secret ballot for leadership later this week.

Scott, a fierce Trump ally, has received a number of high-profile endorsements, including from Elon Musk.

So far, Trump has not intervened.
