Universal’s Super Nintendo World in Japan is getting a new Donkey Kong-inspired land, opening on December 11, 2024.

A new video features gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto as he wanders through the new world, called Donkey Kong Country, accessed through a tunnel that brings the world of Donkey Kong to life with plenty of jungle-inspired scenery and barrels.

According to Gizmodothe world will include Donkey Kong’s house, a Funky Kong-inspired store, a Donkey Konga-inspired musical rhythm game, the Golden Temple ride, an expansion of the park’s NFC wristbands to collect letters hidden throughout the park and many themed dishes.

While Donkey Kong Country will be available to travelers and residents of Japan, will it be added to other parks?

Yes! Extension of Universal’s Epic Universe park in Orlando will present it when it opens on May 22, 2025.
