The mysterious “Pookie” by Haliey Welch has been officially revealed!

The 22-year-old Internet star kicked her boyfriend hard Kelby Blackwell – whom she affectionately called “Pookie” – on the Speak Tuah podcast on November 12, a month after the couple made their relationship official in October.

“I just want to show people that I can do bad b—,” she exclaimed about Blackwell before the reveal. “My man is a bad bastard and I’m proud of him, he’s my arm candy. I’m so proud of him.”

Then she called Blackwell to join her in the hot seat and cheered him on.

Blackwell – a plumber from his hometown – explained that he initially wanted to stay out of the public eye, but ultimately changed his mind when Welch asked him to appear in the episode.

“I was asked how I felt being on the podcast and I said, ‘You know what, I’m going to do it,'” he said. “It’s more for Haliey because if she can get away from that and get more views, I’m going to do it for her.”

Welch then dove into the interview, asking for his initial reaction to his viral “Hawk Tuah” video from June that put Welch in the spotlight.

“I didn’t really know what to say,” he said of seeing the video for the first time. “I just know I woke up one morning to a Snapchat from you saying, ‘You’re going to see something this morning that you probably don’t want to see, ignore it,’ and then I opened my TikTok and there it was. ‘was.”

“At first I thought, ‘She’s completely drunk,'” he continued. “I know you personally and you used to be a very reserved and quiet girl and just seeing that video was like, ‘What the fuck?’ He then added that after the video was released, Welch cried when they were on the phone together and he “didn’t want to add to the pain and ask her to keep moving forward.”

Welch revealed that when the video first came out, she and Blackwell were “not serious” at the time, joking that “he played hard to get for the last three years.” However, he pushed back on the comment, noting that he could “finally” share his side of the story of how their relationship came to be.

Welch first announced that they were an official couple on an episode of Speak Tuah podcast in Octoberwhile Blackwell clarified that they had been seeing each other for “last year”.

“Last year I was in a relationship for about two and a half years and we broke up around last March and it was kind of like a bad breakup,” he revealed. “So the last few months I was thinking about Haliey and working on myself more and working on being able to provide her with what she needed for herself where I didn’t want to hurt her.”

“When I figured that out, I was like, ‘Okay, that’s good enough,’ but I’m also an impatient idiot and when I want something, I want it right away,” he added. Welch.

He then explained what he thought about guys “sliding into his DMs,” noting that it depends on the type of messages.

“Famous people can come into the conversation and I don’t care,” he said. “I’m a very jealous person, what’s mine is mine, but I don’t necessarily mind when they tell her what they say, that’s if she feels the need to respond to them. I understand that ( context) may be business, but I’m not used to that.

Blackwell added that he was “proud” of how Welch “turned the situation around” after it went viral. “I never expected her to make it since she was always this quiet girl, but I’m proud of her. You turned around and made a good name for yourself.”
