Tommy Fury appeared unimpressed when Ruth Langsford questioned him about his split from Molly-Mae Hague after he insisted he had no interest in speaking about the subject.

She said: ‘Obviously no one could have missed the story that you and Molly-Mae had sadly broken up, we were all very sad to read that because we had all followed this wonderful love story of you two on Love Island.”

She added: “You didn’t talk about it in your book, because they delayed publishing the book so you could write that last chapter.”

“And you said you didn’t want to go into detail, but how are you two doing?” And you’re obviously co-parenting Bambi and it’s a tricky time.’

She emphasized, “As I know, going through these things in public, you know, everyone has something to say, without knowing the truth.”

The boxer, who looked unimpressed with Ruth for bringing up Molly-Mae, then claimed he didn’t listen to anything in the press or on social media because “it’s a story”.

He said: “Yes, that’s definitely the case, and that’s what’s happened over the last few months. You know, I don’t listen to anything in the press and social media because that’s all, It’s a story, very different from the real story, and like I said, moving forward,’

“Everyone has the right to a private life and Molly and I met when we were very young,”

“And we just think that in the future, everything should be private now because everyone is entitled to it and that’s what I want.” Not just for me but also for Bambi, for her.

The boxer and influencer split this summer, with Molly-Mae saying at the time that she didn’t think it would end like this.

And during an episode of This Morning in October, Tommy was bombarded with questions from hosts Cat Deeley, 48, and Ben Shephard, 49.

In response to the accusation that he cheated on Molly-Mae and his denial in the book, Tommy simply said: “A lot of things have been published.”

“The whole world saw what we went through these last few months, but yes, I added a final chapter (in the book) where I talked about all my feelings and what I felt during this time and to keep everyone up to date.

“It’s been difficult, but you can read that into it.”

He added: “Me, Molly and Bambi are a family unit, and we’re going to address this privately.”

When asked if he wanted to get back together with Molly because the couple and Bambi seem to make a “wonderful team”, he replied: “Yeah. Like I say, they’re my family and I love them until the day I die.

“There has been a lot of criticism, and there will be until the day I die.”

“Everyone points the finger when there is a movement to follow. But ultimately, out of respect for Molly, and out of respect for myself and our relationship, I’m going to let us work this out privately, as much as possible.

“I’m just happy to be here today and talking about my book. I want to leave this to me and Molly, because we owe each other the respect to do this.

In his first interview after their split, Tommy told the Mail his side of the story and said he “absolutely did not cheat on her.”

Tommy admitted: “It’s true love.” Do I still love Molly? 100 percent. I will love him until my last breath.

“I know what I need to do to solve problems. And that depends on me. No one but me can do this.

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shocking news of her split from her fiancé. Tommy after months of on-and-off speculation.

Reports at the time claimed Tommy had been dumped by her after she “cheated on him with a Danish girl he met” while on holiday in North Macedonia.

Responding to the rumours, he said: “All the allegations that have been made about me recently are completely false. The truth will come out in time and when it does, I think many people may regret their derogatory actions and words.

“What the public thinks is happening is not what is happening. It’s not something I envisioned, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s a thing that existed before all of this, but the only people who know what’s going on in our relationship are Molly and me.
