PORTLAND, OregonKOIN) — The search for a 5-year-old autistic boy missing since Saturday continues as Coos County authorities say “nothing is off the table” in the case and ask for help from the state and agencies federal.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office said Joshua McCoy was reported missing by his mother Saturday evening after she said she and her child had gone to take a nap at their home on Stage Road in Hauser early in the afternoon , but by the time she woke up at 5:30 p.m., her child was missing.

Local law enforcement teams began searching surrounding areas Saturday evening, and “efforts intensified” Sunday morning as law enforcement used drones and assigned teams missions, the area being monitored with real-time GPS tracking, according to authorities.

“A few clues were found, but nothing definitive,” the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page said.

On Monday, more than 60 ground personnel, air support and K9 resources from CORSAR, a collaborative search and rescue effort between seven counties in Oregon and California, continued the search, according to the sheriff’s office , with more resources expected by Tuesday.

“While the citizens’ offer of assistance is much appreciated, the search area is limited in capacity and the concern is that evidence could be missed or tampered with with an overwhelming number of personnel on scene,” according to a statement from the office from the Coos County Sheriff. “Nothing is excluded at the moment because we are studying all possible avenues. We remain hopeful that Joshua will be found alive and well.

Joshua is described as approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 50 to 60 pounds, with a lean build. His eyes are brown and he has shoulder-length brown hair, with a fair complexion. It is not known exactly what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
