Only four of the top eight teams in League A will survive the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Nations League and automatically qualify for next summer’s Gold Cup.

The fourth edition of the Concacaf Nations League is well underway. After an action-packed group stage, the top two teams from each group advanced to the quarter-finals, where they joined the top four pre-seeded League A teams awaiting the knockout stage.

The resulting four quarterfinals are each a two-leg home-and-away series. The pre-classified teams all have the advantage of playing the second leg at home. Once both rounds are completed, the winners of the total score will get their ticket to the next round.

THE United States men’s national team enters the competition as the defending champion. In fact, the Stars and Stripes have won the previous three editions of the tournament, beating Mexico for the prize last March. The following eight teams qualified for the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League:

Jamaica vs. USA kicks off the quarterfinals, and the winner of the home-and-away series will meet the winner of Costa Rica and Panama. draw in the semi-final.

On the other side of the draw, the winner of Suriname’s home-and-away match against Canada faces the winner of Honduras’s home-and-away match against Mexico.
