Deauna Miller, who is Jenkins’ adopted sister, said Bell developed a semi-paternal relationship with her sister.

“It’s very complicated with them (Bell and Deborah). One minute they’re laughing and laughing and the next minute they’re bickering…” Miller said.

News 3 also obtained video of Jenkins and a man who saw our coverage and wanted to help.

In the video, which was also posted to Facebook, Jenkins said she was not forced to leave the house and did so to escape abusive conditions.

Jenkins came out to further explain that Bell was the one who helped her escape the abuse.

Although Jenkins was found safe, police are still searching for Bell. Virginia State Police confirmed to News 3 that Bell is a registered sex offender.
