“It was almost like I was in the dean’s office. He said to me, ‘I’ve never seen you behave like this. I can’t believe that you, of all people, would do something like that,’” Palmer recalled. THE No The star apologized to Murphy and thought it had blown over – until another colleague suggested that wasn’t the case.

“I said, ‘Ryan talked to me and I guess he’s cool, it’s okay,’ and she said, ‘It’s bad“, trying to scare me or something, which was a little irritating,” Palmer explained. She wrote that although she had initially thought she might end up as a member of Murphy’s crew – like Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd and other stars who appear in several of his series – she realized that probably wouldn’t be the case after their argument.

“I’m still not sure Ryan cared, or understood it, and that’s OK because he was just concentrating, which I don’t have a problem with. But this What I know is that even if he didn’t care, and even if I never work with him again, he knows that I, too, consider myself a business,” Palmer wrote in his book.

This wasn’t the only negative experience Palmer described while working on Scream Queens. In her memoir, she also documents a moment when a white co-star made a racially insensitive comment to her. Palmer has starred on the show with actresses like Roberts, Lourd, Ariana Grande, Abigail Breslin, Skyler Samuels and Lea Michele – although she didn’t name the one who made the offensive remark, instead calling them “Brenda.”

Brenda was angry with another cast member on the show and Palmer tried to diffuse the tension by telling everyone to “have fun and respect each other.” However, this only angered Brenda even more, with the actress firing back: “Keke, literally, don’t do it. Who do you think you are? Martin F***ing Luther King?” Although Palmer considered it a “heavy thing,” she did not name the culprit because she did not want to give power to her words.

“I’m not a victim. It’s not my story, sweetheart. I don’t care what she said. If I allow what she said to paralyze me, then she would,” Palmer joked.
