from Amazon free ad-supported streaming serviceFreevee, will no longer be, according to a Deadline Report Tuesday. The company plans to shut down the service over the coming weeks in regions where it is currently offered, including the United States, Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom.

Customers will still be able to access Freevee content in the Main video streaming app, whether or not they have an Amazon Prime account. Original programs such as Jury Duty, Alex Rider and Judy Justice will be released via Prime Video along with other content under the Freevee umbrella. If you don’t have a Prime Video account, you’ll see titles marked as “Watch Free” when you open the app. Prime Video subscribers won’t see a content change when Freevee shuts down, according to Deadline.

It is unclear when the Freevee migration will be complete for customers in the United States. Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Originally launched in 2019 as IMDb Freedrive with a swamp name for IMDb TV, the platform was rebranded to Freevee in 2022. Since then, Amazon has created a slate of original and licensed movies and TV shows , including Bosch: Legacy, The Lego Movie, The Good Wife, Shameless, Bewitched and Project Runway. The streaming service also includes some Amazon originals like the first three seasons of The boys and a live list QUICK Channels this broadcast 24/7.

The move comes as Amazon accelerates new upgrades to Prime Video, such as its AI-based software. X-ray summary function and a redesign deployed last summer.
