GRAMMY-winning Haitian DJ/producer Michael Brun teams up with critically acclaimed, EGOT-winning, multi-platinum musician Jean Legend and leading Haitian artist Rutshelle Guillaume for their lively new single “On.”

The liberation of “On” is a representation of unity in the face of ignorance and hatred. With Brown And that of William of Haitian origin, and Legend before expressing support for the Haitian immigrant population in his hometown of Springfield, Ohio, the publication of “On” is to encourage community building and coming together.

On “On,” Michael Brun combined John Legend soulful tone with the konpa music style of his native Haiti, for a heartwarming, cultural fusion experience. Rutshelle Guillaume’s A guest appearance on the track elevates this bond of heritage fusion as she delivers a stunning vocal performance, singing in Haitian Creole.

Sthe climax on the track and its importance Michaël says, “John has been one of my all-time favorite singers and voices since I started making music. It’s truly an honor for me to be able to introduce him to the world of konpa through our song “Safe”. The collaborative process felt natural from the start, and the moment he spoke out against misinformation regarding Haitian immigrants in Springfield, it confirmed that this song had a larger purpose. Pairing him with Rutshelle, one of Haiti’s biggest global stars, also seemed like the perfect fit. “Safe” and our conversation in Springfield represent cross-cultural connection in its most authentic form, and I’m proud to be able to build bridges with our voices.

To coincide with the release of the song, John and Michaël both traveled to Springfield to connect with the local community and filmed an hour-long conversation at a local Haitian restaurant, discussing the history of Haiti, bridging cultural divides and the dangers of misinformation in the modern era.
