Sydney Sweeney passed on projects while waiting for season 3 of Euphoria

Welcome back to Euphoria look, the watch where we’re not actually looking Euphoriabecause there is nothing new at the moment Euphoria to watch, but we watch to see if Euphoria is actually going to come back so we can watch it. During our last recording, less than 24 hours agoHBO boss Casey Bloys reaffirmed (unconvincingly) that Euphoria will come back. “I know the show is getting a lot of attention now because it’s created some real movie stars, and they have various projects they’re working on. But we’re filming this season, so nothing has changed,” he said. And speaking of movie stars, two Euphoria the actors appeared on the cover of Vanity FairThe Hollywood problem Wednesday.

Something like The Hollywood Problem is another one of those signals that the cast may have outgrown its HBO teen drama, but to hear Sydney Sweeney tell it, the free post Euphoria the delay practically forced her to do what she wanted. “There were definitely a few projects that I had to abandon because I had to go back to Euphoria,” She admits VF. “But because I’m producing now, I was able to say, ‘You know what? I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m going to put some of my own projects on the list. That’s how it is Anyone but you arrived. Euphoria was supposed to start filming, and I had another movie I was supposed to do, but we couldn’t get permission and after a few weeks I realized: This isn’t happening. So I put all my equipment on to do Anyone but you.

Listen: When a young artist’s star is on the rise, you don’t want to hinder their progress to the top! HBO and Sam Levinson are only asking for resentment and drama by delaying these actors’ schedules. And by the way, while she’s circumspect in her own remarks on the subject, it seems like Zendaya’s schedule has probably been delayed to some extent as well. THE producer and main actor from the series tell VF she has been “absent for a few years”, so Euphoria wasn’t ‘delayed because of my… I was open, I was just waiting. (Laughter.) I was waiting.

Zendaya acknowledges that the series is “scheduled to start filming in January” (as Bloys and HBO have maintained), but oddly enough, she hasn’t “read anything yet.” This seems slightly concerning, given that she’s a producer who was reportedly heavily involved in figuring out her character’s direction. She also had a close relationship with Levinson, but there was tension rumors between the writer and his muse. Zendaya avoids the question when asked directly about Levinson, but says she’s “excited to see what everyone has been working on and what the future looks like” for the series. “I don’t really have an answer, except that at the moment, filming should start in January. My most important thing is to do justice to the people who love and care about her, and to make sure that she is cared for as a character,” she adds. “I think it’s my number one duty.”

Similarly, Sweeney says that “Cassie is such a deep and meaningful character to me”, reflecting that she thinks she will be able to “mourn in a way” their late co-star Angus Cloud when they return on the plateau. “Cassie is the longest character I’ve ever had in my life,” she says. “I feel like she’ll always have such a special place in my heart, so I know I’ll be able to jump right in.” Well, I hope there’s something to get into.
