Kareem Hunt predicts KC Chiefs blocked field goal during Mic’d Up vs. Broncos

THE Kansas City Chiefs I took it down to the wire in their 16-14 victory against the Denver Broncos on Sundayas a last-second blocked field goal sealed victory for the undefeated, back-to-back defending champions. Although he wasn’t on the field for the save block, Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt stood out for a different reason in a new “Mic’d Up” from Sunday’s victory.

Watching the final play from the sidelines, Hunt delivered an unlikely – and correct – prediction.

“How athletic to jump over that?” » Hunt asked from the side. “Someone needs to jump over this… It’s cool, we’re about to block this.”

Hunt was right. Ultra-athletic do-it-all defender Leo Chenal brought down Alex Forsyth to block the kicksealing an improbable victory for the Chiefs. The mic video also offers a new angle of the team’s celebration after a moment of shared disbelief on the sidelines.

As the team ran onto the field to celebrate, Hunt found and hugged special teams coordinator Dave Toub after his unit made the game-saving play. Later, Hunt summed up the Chiefs’ last two victories well.

“That’s two games in a row, I’ve never seen anything like that,” Hunt said.

Last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, Hunt scored a touchdown in overtime to win the game. On Sunday, a blocked field goal preserved the Chiefs’ undefeated season.

“It’s meant to be if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be,” Hunt said as he left the field. “It’s supposed to be.”
