Before Taylor Krause I realized that now my husband Garrett Josemans was “hot”, they each struggled with physical attraction.

“To be completely honest, Garrett and I weren’t attracted to each other at first,” Taylor, 30, said during the Wednesday, November 13, episode. “The Viall files” podcast, which was created by chance on their first wedding anniversary. “We were really in love with each other. It wasn’t because I didn’t think he was handsome and it wasn’t because he didn’t think I was a beautiful person.

Taylor and Garrett, 33, met inside the love is blind season 7 pods when the experiment took place in Washington, DC, in the fall of 2023. After a harmonious affair, including connecting over mutual scientific passions, Garrett proposed sight unseen. The couple didn’t meet in person until after Taylor said yes.

“It’s because your brain explodes when you do the revelation,” Taylor said of the struggle of attraction. “For 10 days of falling in love with someone just by talking about things, you don’t really build a picture in your mind. Then the doors open and there are about 70 cameras on you. You’re excited, your adrenaline is pumping but you’re still wondering, “What just happened to me?” »

Once Taylor and Garrett went to the casting call in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, they had time to process their commitment.

“In Cabo, I was like, ‘This guy is really hot,’” Taylor recalls. Garrett said the feeling was mutual, adding, “100 percent.”

Garrett also felt like he was “melting” on the day of the revelation.

“My nerves were in pieces,” Garrett told the podcast host. Nick Viall. “The reveal comes and (I) saw Taylor and I was like, ‘Oh, hi, you’re pretty and all that and that.’ Then you walk out of there and you’re just dazed…And that’s everyone (on the show).

Once they arrived in Mexico, Garrett also quickly realized that he was indeed attracted to Taylor.

“I thought, ‘My God, what was I thinking? It’s crazy. I’m in love,” he added. “I’m not going to lie, I was just trying to kill the awkwardness with kisses.”

Taylor and Garrett’s relationship only grew stronger throughout their whirlwind engagement. They formed one of two couples, alongside Ashley Adionser And Tyler Francisto get married in the season 7 finale.

Taylor and Garrett now split their time between their respective hometowns in Virginia and California. They also plan to move to Washington soon.

“We’re very excited to just go explore (the city),” Garrett said. “We’re just excited to start our own chapter, our own lives in Washington and see where it takes us.”
