BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend city officials are considering the idea of ​​adding metered traffic signals to the busy Reed Market Road/Bond Street/Brookswood Boulevard roundabout. The idea was discussed at a recent meeting of the Bend City Council Building Subcommittee.

The use of measured signals – first tested almost five years ago – would prevent vehicles on one lane from immediately entering the roundabout, in order to improve traffic flow on another section where traffic jams slow down traffic.

Another option under consideration would be to expand the roundabout by adding additional lanes.
