WASHINGTON (7News) — DC police arrested two people Tuesday believed to be connected to a theft incident in Northeast DC.

Officials said that on November 12, two people, later identified as Tanika Jackson, 34, and Kamau Kanipe, 48, approached a person in the Unit block of M Street. Jackson and Kanipe allegedly assaulted and took the person’s property, then allegedly fled the scene.

Jackson and Kanipe were both arrested and charged with robbery (violence and violence), officials said.
