IU women’s basketball signs two Class of 2025 recruits to national letters of intent – ​​The Daily Hoosier

Indiana women’s basketball announced the signings of two Class of 2025 Top 100 players on Wednesday, Nevaeh Caffey (Warrenton, Mo.) and Maya Makalusky (Fishers, Ind.).

Caffey is a 5-10 guard at Incarnate Word High School in St. Louis where she is a third-team All-American, Class 6 All-State Player of the Year and first-team Class 6 All-State. Incarnate Word won three consecutive Missouri Class 6 state championships in his three seasons, which helped them to a perfect 92-0 record during his time with the program.

Her additional honors include All-Metro girls basketball player of the year and Class 6 District and Class 6 All-District Player of the Year. As a junior at Incarnate Word, Caffey averaged 14.0 points and shot 49.0 percent from the floor as a junior. She ranks 65th in the ESPN Top 100 rankings.

2025 begins

Makalusky, a 6-3 forward, is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Indiana and 36th overall by ESPN in the class of 2025. A three-year starter and letter winner at Hamilton Southeastern, he holds a career average of 18.5 points. , 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and scored 1,315 points before his senior season.

In his three seasons at HSE, Makalusky holds a career record of 56-15. She was named an Indiana Junior All-Star in 2024 and an ICGSA First Team All-State. A two-time member of Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s All-State First Team, she is ranked 30th.th by Blue Star, 34 years oldth by Junior All-Stars and 44th by Prospect Nation.
