The City of Canandaigua provided updates on several ongoing construction projects that could impact local traffic:

• Bloomfield Road North: The storm sewer work is almost complete and the first layer of asphalt is being laid. The road remains closed to all traffic except local traffic. Work began on April 29, 2024 and is expected to be completed in May 2025.

• Lakeshore Drive Bridge: Bearing replacement work is in progress and should be completed this week. A full one-hour closure is planned for Thursday, October 24 to replace the bridge’s median support. The project began on May 20, 2024 and is expected to be completed by November 2024.
• Gorham Street Pump Station: Construction of a new pump station near Plant 243 on Gorham Street began with excavation on October 22, 2024. Temporary closures may occur as the project progresses, Completion is estimated for November 2024.
