The Colorado Springs Switchbacks prepare for Saturday’s Western Conference final

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Switchbacks are still in action as the club continues to make history. After their 2-1 victory against Orange County last Saturday, the Switchbacks will host the Western Conference final for the first time this Saturday, facing the Las Vegas Lights.

The two teams faced each other in their two regular season meetings.

This is the second time in three seasons that the Switchbacks have advanced to the conference finals. Head coach James Chambers is confident the group will be able to go further this year.

“I think this group showed a lot of ways to win,” Coach Chambers said. “I think they showed a lot of character and resilience. They showed a lot of traits that put us in a good position to do that and I’ll almost draw on what we’ve been through all along.”

The Western Conference Finals game begins at Weidner Field on Saturday at 7 p.m.
