HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Hastings Senior High held a National Signing Day ceremony in the gymnasium on Wednesday. Grayce Beck has signed a national letter of intent with North Dakota, where she will play at the Division I level of the Summit League.

Beck, a catcher for the Tigers, said her goal is to play college softball at the highest level. She helped Hastings finish second in the state in Class B this season.

“When I got the call with the offer, I started crying and my family started crying,” Beck said. “It was just a ‘We made it’ kind of thing. I’ve been thinking about it since I was little. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted, so finally putting it down in writing is amazing for me and my family. It’s like a weight is lifted from our shoulders.
