Banks denied having a close relationship with Singh, saying she had not spoken to her relative “in over 15 years, let alone every day or 48 hours.” She has made numerous inflammatory statements about her family: “For decades, my family was my spiritual, physical, and emotional caretaker, giving me no authority over my personality. I was not allowed to make any decisions in life without their approval. “

She continued: “When I spoke out, they called me crazy, harassed me mercilessly and destroyed any semblance of peace, career or relationships I ever had. In this era digital, they were able for decades without my knowledge or knowledge to reach out to my colleagues, friends and even my neighbors to effectively sabotage and destroy not only my life’s work, but also any semblance of happiness. or peace that I could cling to.

Banks said she left town to be baptized, then used the occasion as “an opportunity to escape my cage.” She explained: “God said, ‘I’m going to give you money,’ and I was shocked when it happened just like He said it would. Then He said, ‘I want you to move.’ So I packed my Exodus and took my Freedom Ride first class (on Spirit Airlines, no less) to the Promised Land.”

Singh held a press conference Wednesday afternoon, however, claiming the person located was not the real Banks despite being able to produce an ID with the actress’ information. “This woman was able to provide a New York City driver’s license that had been expired for over 10 years,” Singh said, adding that after reviewing authorities’ body camera footage, she believed the woman was an imposter. “She was a lot skinnier,” she said. “She wore things my cousin wouldn’t normally wear. Her voice was different.”

She continued, “I’m not sure it’s her. I think someone got her ID and is using it and pretending to be her.”
