I miss him and will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

Later in the post, he wrote: “It will be difficult, but that’s life. It always has been and probably always will be. We appreciate all the prayers, support and well wishes from everyone, it is much appreciated. I still want to be a dad more than anything else in the world, and he gave me that even if it was short-lived. When and if I ever have this opportunity again, I will never take a day for granted. I love my boy and he will live on through us.

Alone InstagramKayla posted more hospital photos and detailed her thoughts in her own caption.

“We lost our son. We had to say goodbye to the most perfect and handsome boy I had ever seen. We will never be the same and we will never forget him,” she wrote. “He had a head full of curls and his daddy’s nose. The softest cheeks and big hands. He will be always my son and I will always be his mother.

“He got us through so much this year and stayed so strong for us for so long. I will always remember holding it and smelling it. He was simply perfect. Oh my sweet boy, mom and dad will always smile when we think of you, I promise. Please take care of us, my angel. »

She added that their son was born on November 2 and weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 21 inches. Her due date was November 7.

A few days later, Kayla posted a video of herself holding her baby for the first time.

“The moment I first held him. I couldn’t believe how handsome he was,” she detailed. “I dreamed of seeing his face for so long. I dreamed of this moment for years. I just felt like He was taking a nap in my arms, he looked so peaceful.

“Today, November 7, at 7:30 a.m., we were supposed to report to the hospital for a scheduled admission. We choose to use this day to honor our little boy and create our new family traditions,” she continued. “The Lion King was Hakeem’s favorite movie and he always said he couldn’t wait to watch it with our son. We will do just that and remember our brave little boy.

“Until I can hold your hand again, my son, I love you,” she added.
