Cloudy and cool today with light showers in the second half

TODAY: Cloudy and cool, showers in the evening. Hi 48. Winds: E 5-15 mph.

TONIGHT: Scattered light showers. Lo 40. Winds: E 5-10 mph.

FRIDAY: Persistent clouds. Hi 54. Winds: NW 5-15 mph.

Clouds are strengthening this morning as a front approaches that will bring light showers to the area later this afternoon and night. Even with the additional cloud cover, temperatures fell below freezing in a few places this morning. It’s a cold start and will stay cold all day. Highs will be stuck in the 40s thanks to an east breeze today. Showers will develop mid-afternoon and continue through this evening, but don’t expect much rain. Rainfall totals will likely stay below 0.25″ due to this system.

Behind this front, clouds will persist for most of Friday. It will still be a little cool tomorrow thanks to these clouds, but it should be warmer than today. Highs will be in the lower 50s and the weather will remain windy Friday.

The weekend features another sunny, dry and friendly forecast with highs near 60° for Saturday and Sunday. Precipitation remains light next week. We’ll keep looking and keep you posted.
