Don Johnson‘s acting career spans decades and has clearly had an impact on fans, including Kelly Ripa And Marc Consuelos‘ youngest son.

THE Doctor Odyssey the star appeared on Thursday Live with Kelly and Mark in Palm Springs, where Consuelos reminded him of his time playing James “Sonny” Crockett in Miami Vice.

“Listen, Miami ViceI can’t believe I’m going to say that 40 years ago,” Consuelos emphasized.

Johnson teased: “I can’t believe you said that either.”

Consuelos pointed out that Johnson sported “some of the greatest styles” on the show, as they took shots of him in the hit ’80s crime drama.

Ripa then chimed in to explain how the show influenced their son, Joaquin.

“Our son, I showed him Miami Viceand he got so into it. I thought it was the coolest ever,” she shared.

After Consuelos said their son “was eight years old” when they showed him the show, Ripa told Johnson, “Joaquín dressed like you, I swear to God, for a solid year.” »

After hearing the story and seeing a photo of a young Joaquin dressed like Sonny Crockett, Johnson was flattered and joked, “Obviously this young man has exquisite taste.”

“And as an artist too, because he recognizes great art,” he added.

Consuelos noted that Johnson will celebrate “a big birthday” next month, when he turns 75. As for whether he has “big plans,” Johnson explained that he “doesn’t look at age, literally, as anything.” but a number.

“Because I just don’t feel that way,” he continued. “I don’t feel the age that I, in my mind, in my narrative, that you’re supposed to feel.”

As for how old he thinks he is, Johnson replied: “16.” And undisciplined.

Ripa agreed that Johnson turning 75 “makes no sense.”

“75 doesn’t register, because to me you’re forever 16,” she exclaimed.

Johnson joked, “I don’t know if that speaks to my maturity… But I’ll take it!”
