Amazon’s new loot

Temu and Shein might seem to have the market cornered on selling really cheap products, but Amazon won’t do that meet this challenge for their extended sales. The company just launched Amazon Haul, a new venture that could be just as cheap (and tempting) for shoppers.

1. What is Amazon Haul?

Amazon Haul is an “experience” in the Amazon app that offers really cheap items for sale. Really, really cheap. If you thought about everything the good deals were on Temuthink again.

2. How Cheap Is Amazon Haul?

Amazon promises that nothing in the Haul category will cost more than $20 – and most items will be closer to $10. As a bonus, Amazon offers a Guarantee from A to Zwhich ensures all items are authentic and safe — and you have a hassle-free remediation process for products sold and shipped by the brand’s retail partners.

3. What is transport sales?

Almost everything you can find on Temu or Shein. The press release announcing Haul promises “affordable fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics and other products at ultra-low prices.”

The release also mentions a few deals: a three-piece razor set for $2.99; holiday table runners for $2.99; an iPhone 16 case for $1.79; a women’s elastic stretch belt for $1.99; a pair of touchscreen winter gloves for $3.21; an elegant necklace, bracelet and earring set for $2.99; and a two-pack of grilling kitchen tongs for $4.99. Not bad.

4. How can I access transportation?

Right now, Haul is in beta, which means it’s not fully integrated with the Amazon app (although you can still purchase products). You can’t get Haul on your computer, but it is available on your phone. Simply go to the Amazon app and look in the top navigation bar, or you can visit amazon.com/haul on your mobile device’s browser.

5. Are there other ways to save with Haul?

Actually, yes. You can save even more by (of course) adding an order. Take 5% off orders $50 or more and 10% off orders $75 or more. You also get free shipping on purchases over $25, so you may want to keep shopping until you hit that magic number.

6. What happens if something gets damaged or worse?

If you’ve ordered through Temu, chances are you’ve waited a long time to get a product only to discover that it’s not what you expected (or even what was in the photo). Besides getting this A-to-z warranty through Amazon, you can get free returns on all Amazon Haul purchases over $3.00 within 15 days of delivery. If the item is damaged, defective or not as described, you are covered.

7. Can I get next day delivery?

This does not appear to be the case. The press release points out that you can get same-day or one-day delivery on regular Amazon items, but, um, “we also hear from customers that sometimes they would like to purchase products at a very low price, even so some of them take one to two weeks to arrive.” So we think not.
