Russia’s Krasnodar region was the target of a “massive drone attack” on the night of November 15, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev reported via his Telegram channel. One of the targeted neighborhoods is home to a military airfield.

The governor said two municipalities in the region had been targeted, with Russian air defense intercepting around 36 drones over the Krymsk and Krasnoarmeisk districts.

In Krymsk, debris from a drone fell on four residential properties, damaging the roof of a house and a car, according to Kondratiev. In the Krasnoarmeisk district, drone debris reportedly damaged the roof of a private house. No casualties have been reported.

Russian telegram channel Astra cited local sources suggesting the drones could have targeted the Krymsk military airfield. This claim has not been confirmed by official sources and the governor has not made any comments on the matter. THE Ukrainian military has not commented on the attack.

Star note that earlier reports from local authorities claimed that 46 drones had been intercepted over the Krymsk region. Astra said his statement was later deleted without explanation.

THE Russian Ministry of Defense later said its forces intercepted 51 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 36 over the Krasnodar region, 10 over the Sea of Azov, three over Russian-occupied Crimea and two more over the Belgorod region.

While Ukraine regularly claims attacks deep within Russia, it is difficult to verify the authenticity of the reports and the extent of the damage inflicted.
