CNN slams Fox News for devouring RFK Jr.’s views on health care

CNN Thursday aired a number of oldies Fox News clips showing network personalities slamming Michelle Obamaof the nutrition initiative years before putting forward the points of view of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump» is the choice to lead the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

“Many years ago, another person tried to raise concerns about the health of the foods we feed our children and families,” said CNN’s Abby Phillipwho launched into a supercut of Fox News personalities bashing the former first lady.

The 2010 clips featured the likes of Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity calling Obama – who pushed for new nutritional standards for children in a bid to combat childhood obesity – to keep her hands off their fries and claimed the government could start “fining” Americans for using salt .

“Does every American family need a government-appointed dietitian to tell them that this food will make you gain weight and that food will not? Hannity asked on his show in 2010.

“Make America Healthy Again,” Phillip said, referring to Kennedy’s agenda. post-Trump endorsement slogan.

Fox News attempted to whitewash Kennedy by calling him a public health advocate while largely ignoring his wild anti-vaccine conspiracy theories and on-air views on COVID-19, Media Matters for America reported in August.

That same month, Ainsley Earhardt of Fox News praised Kennedy for exposing “corruption in health care” and called it “music to every mom’s ears.”

Kennedy called for a ban on hundreds food additives and chemicals in food, said he take away the nutrition departments of the Food and Drug Administration, and said that the second Trump administration advises against using fluoride in drinking water.

The president-elect said he would let Kennedy “go wild on health care” during his term.
