This Morning dynamic duo Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were visibly emotional as they sent their heartfelt wishes to Davina McCall after she was suddenly rushed to hospital for serious brain surgery.

The much-loved Masked Singer judge, 57, bravely faced a medical procedure to remove a 14mm non-cancerous brain tumor, known medically as a colloid cyst. The discovery came during a routine health check-up a few months before, while she was giving a presentation for a menopause awareness campaign.

On the latest episode of the beloved ITV talk show on Friday, an empathetic Alison was quick to express her solidarity, commenting: “Davina has just released a statement that she has had a routine check-up and found that She had a brain tumor, but the good thing is it’s benign.”

She further added her thoughtful message: “We just want to say that all our thoughts are with Davina. We are thinking of you and you are so strong. Even in the Instagram post, she’s just amazing.”

Dermot also responded with his words of support: “The good thing is it’s benign. She said the chances of getting it were three in a million. Sending you all our love and prayers, Davina and Michael.”

Davina herself announced the news to her followers on social media, posting a video explaining: “Hello, so I’m posting this, it will be Friday (15.11.24) morning. I’m posting this because it’s been a few month I did a I spoke about menopause for a company and they offered me a health exam in exchange, which I thought I would pass, but it turned out I had a benign brain tumor called colloid cyst, which is very rare.”

Davina revealed she was undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor, admitting she initially tried to ignore the diagnosis, reports the mirror. “Three in a million! So I kind of stuck my head in the sand for a while, then I saw a lot of neurosurgeons, I got lots of opinions. I realized it had to be removed .It’s big for the space it fills the space It’s 14mm wide and it has to come out because if it grows it would be bad.

His partner Michael Douglas reassured fans that the former Big Brother host is in “great shape” but will need some time to recover from the operation.

In the caption of the video, he wrote: “Hey everyone. Michael here. @davinamccall will be ‘off the grid’ for a while while she recovers from that brain surgery. She’s in great shape and in between very good hands.

“I’ll make some updates from her account here for anyone interested. I’m sure she’ll read all the comments when she can, so please send some love. People’s support is incredibly powerful .Have a nice day everyone.
