Skygazers will have an additional opportunity to catch a super moon in 2024! The November full moon – better known as the Beaver Moon – will peak on November 15.

According to NASAA supermoon occurs when the Moon is at its closest position to Earth, making it appear larger and brighter in the night sky. The November supermoon is very special because it is the fourth consecutive supermoon that we have witnessed since The blue moon of August.

Astrologer Kyle Thomas previously told PEOPLE that full moons are considered times that bring heightened emotions, impulsive behavior and lots of dramatic events. During a super moon, this energy will be increased tenfold due to the proximity of the Earth and will affect the collective from November 12 to 19.

By NASASkywatchers will be able to observe the supermoon on November 15, starting at 4:29 p.m. EST. Unlike a regular full moon, the supermoon will appear larger and brighter in the night sky.

You can put away your telescope and binoculars: it will be hard to miss the super moon in the night sky. According to the Associated PressSkywatchers will be able to see the beautiful details of the moon since the moon can be 30% brighter than average.

It is also recommended to try to spot the moon away from city lights and the spectacular sight will be best seen between moonrise and moonset, in the evening and early morning.

When will the next supermoon take place?

While the last full moon of the year falls on December 15, skywatchers will have to wait until late 2025 to see another supermoon. There will be three consecutive supermoons starting in October 2025, according to PBS.
