Another arrest made for burglary of Olive Street residence | News, Sports, Jobs

The Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) made progress in an extensive investigation into several burglaries, including one at an Olive Street home on August 14, and two Marshalltown brothers were arrested.

MPD arrested Ashton Mason Clark, 20, on Wednesday and Hunter David Clark, 23, on November 6. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Ashton Mason Clark is charged with first-degree theft, a class C felony; second-degree theft and four counts of third-degree burglary, all class D felonies; and fifth-degree theft, a misdemeanor. Hunter David Clark faces the same charges. A Class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and Class D is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $7 fine. $500.

Arrest warrants have also been issued for their father, Giles Evan Richard Clark, 50, of Marshalltown, for the same investigation. He is wanted for first-degree theft; possession of a firearm as a felon, a class D felony; third-degree burglary; and possession of burglary tools, an aggravated misdemeanor. Search warrants were issued and executed for Giles Evan Richard Clark.
