TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Chips is a vocal little guy who settles in quickly and gives cuddles when he gets where he wants to be.

The 11-week-old male kitten joined Emi Griess of the Helping Hands Humane Society on a visit to Eye on NE Kansas.

Emi said Chips was one of many kittens who were recently adopted. Kittens cost $100 to adopt. Emi said they had all been neutered, dewormed and given injections and a health check.

In addition to the influx of kittens, Emi said the shelter continues to have a high dog population. The dog adoption fee is currently $35 or, if you are registered with Tails on the Trail, you can adopt a dog for $0 until November 16, which is the last day of the event.
