Kim, a registered representative of the Future Korea Research Institute who has been under investigation by prosecutors, is known to have been an aide to former lawmaker Kim Young-sun.

Kim had previously claimed that he only gave his name and that the real owner of the Future Korea Research Institute was Myung, but prosecutors are scrutinizing who financed the various polls conducted before the last presidential election.

Kang Hye-kyung, who raised suspicions of illegal polls, claimed that Myung conducted 81 polls for Yoon Suk Yeol’s candidates in the presidential election and won the nomination of former lawmaker Kim Young-sun in June 2022.
