Quincy pays tribute to his late mother Kim Porter while apparently shading his father Al B. Of course

Quincy Brown remembers his late mother Kim Porter on the anniversary of his death, while apparently overshadowing his father, Al B. Of course.

On Friday, Nov. 15, the sixth anniversary of her death, Porter’s eldest son, whom she shares with the “Nite and Day” singer, 56, shared a post on social media.

“Here is a rare photo of me with my mom and dad. I miss you everyday,” Quincy, 33, captioned a Instagram job.

The only photo uploaded showed a young Quincy, a toddler, sitting in a toy car as Porter – died of lobar pneumonia in 2018 at age 47 – smiled as she crouched down to hug him. Al B. Sure (born Albert Joseph Brown III) does not appear anywhere in the image.

When Quincy was 3, Porter began dating Sean “Diddy” Combsand the 55-year-old tycoon finally adopted the Brotherly love actor and raised him as his own child.

Since rapper Bad Boy’s homes were raided by federal agents in March amid allegations of sex trafficking, leading to his arrest in September in New York, the strained relationship between Quincy and his father has performed publicly.

Despite Brown’s appeal, by the end of October, six of Combs’ seven children – Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance and twins D’Lila and Jessie — shared a joint statement “supporting” Diddy following his indictment on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. (The hip-hop mogul’s seventh child, his daughter I love Seanat 2 years old.)

“The last month has devastated our family,” they say. joint statement began. “Many have judged him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories and false narratives that have escalated into absurdity on social media.”

They continued, “We stand united and support you every step of the way. We hold on to the truth, knowing that it will prevail and nothing will break the strength of our family. We miss you and we love you Dad. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jessie and D’Lila.”

Speaking to PEOPLE exclusively for an interview in April 2023, months before Comb’s ex, Cassandra “Cassie” Venturafiled a explosive trial against the “All About the Benjamins” rapper, Quincy shared what it was like being raised by the mogul.

“I think I was a sponge,” he said of growing up around Combs, adding, “just seeing how he’s able to handle and juggle all these things, I I took that from him as what I remember most.”

Mentioning that Diddy had already taken his children on tour, Quincy told PEOPLE“I think my dad felt safer with us there, no matter what. He needed his family there, and I think having your kids as road dogs was a win-win. It made everything better.”
