ALPENA — Friends Together thanks Northland Area Federal Credit Union and the 17 branches that raised funds during the month of October to support Friends Together and the cancer patients they serve.

Northland representatives Rainey Thorn, Tyler Plante and Deanna Reeves presented $2,137.57 to Shelly Gibbs, office manager, and Melissa Burns, executive director of Friends Together.

Friends Together is a non-profit cancer support organization serving Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Oscoda and Iosco counties. Friends Together is grateful for Northland’s support and reminds those affected by cancer that Friends Together services are free.
