The 17-year-old sensation beat Mike De Decker 10-9 last time out.

If smaller, 17 years oldcan win three more matches and claim the £150,000 title on Sunday night, he will have accumulated more than £1 million in prize money money since the start of the year.

But the laid-back kid counted his blessings rather than his money after escaping KO by Mike De Decker in the last 16.

He trailed 8-4 before finally claiming victory and revealed: “I survived again and I just have to focus on Saturday. Day off Friday and come back better.

“I just have to dig deep, do my stuff. Obviously all of us gamers like the longer format because we can get into the game.

“But I almost left it too late against Mike. I got up and crossed the line.

“I’m just going to focus on Jermaine, relax tomorrow Friday. I’ll come back better on Saturday, I hope. I’m just playing darts.

“Before the Worlds I need a good run, so far I’m happy. Do Saturday and Sunday, train for Worlds but I would like to win this one.

Littler looked dead and buried against De Decker, led 8-4.

But somehow the Wonderkid brought himself back into the match helped by the crowd who whistled and pushed the Belgian back at vital points.

He added: “I’m happy to have won but I have to feel for Mike. It hit me all the way as I was going down all the time, not finding the highs. I’m happy to have crossed the line.

‘It’s a crazy feeling,’ says Luke Littler as fans serenade darts star with new song previously reserved for Phil Taylor

“A few times they sang, ‘There’s only one Luke Littler.’ I didn’t find what they wanted, these two or three triple visits.

“It’s a crazy feeling. I can’t thank them enough for tonight.

“But at 9-7, I said to myself: You have nothing to lose now. Just try to answer him.

“I got a leg back and obviously the crowd was even worse on his back. I took full advantage of it.

“In my head, I was gone. But I said to myself: just take a leg, get the darts and we’ll see what happens.

“I just had to find that extra equipment and put pressure on him.

“I know myself that I can always come back but it was a bit scary. When he’s four legs ahead and playing that well, I can dig deep and get over the line.

In the meantime, De Decker criticized referee Kirk Bevins for not doing anything to stop the fans from whistling.

The 28-year-old said: “I asked Kirk Bevins to address the crowd, but he wouldn’t even do it. Where is he then?”

When asked if he would file a complaint with the PDC, he replied: “File a complaint? It won’t do anything.

“The PDC will just say they’ll look into it, and that’s it. It’s sad, but that’s how it works.”
