Officers from the Fuorigrotta operational unit intervened via Giulio Cesare where a suicide attempt by a man had been reported. The man was sitting on the ground and self-harming with scissors, resulting in injuries to his arms. Officers tried to persuade the man to desist but were unsuccessful, so they disarmed him and called for medical assistance. The individual was transported to San Paolo Hospital where the suicidal man explained that he had attempted this desperate act because he had recently lost his partner.
