Hoping for an offensive boost, the Bruins recalled forwards Georgii Merkulov and Ryan Tufte on Saturday morning, who were both listed in the lineup for the afternoon game against the Blues at TD Garden .

The Bruins also placed veteran defenseman Hampus Lindholm, who fell by a shot early in Tuesday night’s 3-2 win over St. Louis, on injured reserve. Lindholm, who had just been promoted to the number one power play unit, went out when he was hit in the right knee by a wrist shot.

Patrick Brown, recalled Thursday from Providence, was sent back to the AHL affiliate. He replaced veteran Tyler Johnson in Dallas, who left the club on short notice due to what the club called a family matter.
