Real Madrid 0-4 Barcelona: Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha score Clasico goals

Robert Lewandowski scored twice in three minutes as La Liga leaders Barcelona beat Real Madrid in the Clasico to move six points clear of their rivals.

Real were looking to extend their unbeaten streak to 43 in the league, which would have equaled the record set by Barcelona between April 2017 and May 2018.

But their hopes of doing so were dashed by a devastating display from their opponents at the Bernabeu in the second half.

“It’s a difficult moment, a difficult moment when you lose a match, (especially after) so many invincibilities,” Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said.

After a scoreless first half, Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a clinical finish from Marc Casado’s ball.

The Polish striker then surprised the hosts with a second, heading Alejandro Balde’s cross into the right corner.

Lewandowski had two good chances to score a hat-trick, hitting the woods from the first before firing from a good position.

Spanish teenage star Lamine Yamal, 17, got Barcelona’s third goal by driving into the top corner from an angle, his goal making him the youngest goalscorer in Clasico history.

Raphinha then lobbed a fourth goal late in the match for his first goal against Real Madrid.

The result saw Kylian Mbappe qualify for the famous match for the first time, with the French striker having two goals disallowed for offside and also denied by Inaki Pena in the Barcelona goal.
