Ariana Grande and Angelina Jolie’s belted wrap coats are so chic

IMO, there’s nothing worse than an uncomfortably stiff winter coat; you should be able to superimpose without feeling like the Tin Man when you move. So even if I’m not incredibly picky about my coatI have a few main boxes to check: it must be comfortable, spacious and, of course, timeless. And the one Ariana Grande just wore checked all those boxes.

Grande was spotted with her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo is wearing the coat that is on top of my winter wish list. Her top layer was a bit like a really chic robe: it had a cozy gap and a belted waist, but was elevated with that gorgeous notch lapel and sleek black fabric. Basically, it was the perfect mix of cozy and chic.

The wrap coat is a must-have for stars, especially Angelina Jolie And Nicole Kidmanand I imagine that has something to do with its ability to be both everyday and stylish – well, and that it’s really comfortable. Below, check out 10 top layer-inspired styles that celebrities continue to reach for.

10 Wrap Coats Inspired by Ariana Grande

Cicy Bell Belted Overcoat

Amazon

You can get an affordable version of this style on Amazon, where Cicy Bell’s belted coat is on sale for $70. There’s a lot to love about this style, from its elegant simplicity to its blanket feelingbut what I love the most are these oversized lapels. They add a bit of drama to the otherwise simple and timeless look.

Gap Belted Double-Face Wool Scarf Coat

GAP

The long coat from Gap is designed from a warm wool blend and has a slightly oversized fit for easy layering, two things I consider a must-have. But one I hadn’t thought of, but Gap added, is a matching scarf. It’s a small addition, but it takes the chic factor up a notch – it also makes getting dressed and going out super easy.

Zara belted wool-blend coat

Zara

Zara’s belted coat looks almost identical to Grande’s. It has the same notched lapel, loose fit and tied waist, and comes in its classic black, although you can also grab it in a soft stone. Like Gap’s, Zara’s coat is also made from a wool blend, so you can expect considerable warmth from this style.

Long down coat with Uniqlo belt

Uniqlo

Although slightly different from Grande’s style, The Uniqlo trend is ideal for anyone who needs something a little more robust. The coat still has that dress-inspired look, but it’s stuffed with down, which shoppers say makes it “warm like a big…blanket.” Despite these bulges, fans report that it’s super lightweight and sleek. It’s the “simple and sophisticated” version of the essential winter down jacket.

My perfect winter coat is stylish and cozy, which is why I shop for a Grande-inspired wrap style. Below, shop more mattress toppers inspired by her dress diaper.
