I’m a Celebrity: Arrivals body language exposed from ‘vulnerable’ to ‘most dominant’ star | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

Lorraine reacts to Coleen Rooney’s rumor that I’m a celebrity

On Friday, ITV revealed the identities of the 10 famous stars heading to the Australian outback to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The A-Listers were revealed to be Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, Oti Mabuse, Tulisa Contostavlos, Alan Halsall, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry, Melvin Odoom, Jane Moore and Dean McCullough.

On Wednesday, the group officially swapped their luxurious lifestyle and touched down at Brisbane Airport, where they were greeted by a flurry of fans and paparazzi.

Videos of their arrival in Australia sparked a frenzy on social media, as the press questioned them after the grueling flight.

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk and revealed which celebrity was most vulnerable before the brutal trials and challenges.

Oti Mabuse

On the surface, Strictly Come Dancing star Oti smiled and joked: “We’re hanging out with the spiders.” However, Inbaal revealed: “As Oti chats to the waiting press, she shrugs her shoulders a lot.”

“It shows that she’s not sure what’s going to happen, but her intermittent smile lets us know that she may not know.

She often looks down, which tells us she’s not completely confident. Her body language is indecisive, she’s there to have an interesting experience, but winning is not her top priority.

The expert also analyzed that Danny and Coleen were both nervous, as she stated: “Danny’s open smile, his giggles and his laughter with the paparazzi seem honest, because an open smile is rarely fake.

“His one free hand gestures broadly as he walks and talks, with his palm facing upwards as a sign of honesty.”

On behalf of Spin Genie, she added: “He turns his head toward, then away from reporters, which may indicate his nervousness, as he struggles to focus on a topic of conversation.”

“Another sign of his nervousness is that he bites his lip while walking and his smile drops several times to reveal a slightly stressed expression.”

As for socialite Coleen, Inbaal said: “Walking through the crowd of waiting photographers, Coleen can’t stop fidgeting.

“Playing with the zipper of her hoodie, tapping her fingers on her thigh, she performs several self-soothing movements that show how nervous she feels.”

Coleen Rooney

“We touch each other’s faces, click our tongues, play with our fingers – Coleen’s smile is genuine and she’s happy, but she’s also very nervous.”

Tulisa moved away from the cameras, hiding under a cap and mask. She told the press, “I’m not saying anything,” which Inbaal called “powerful.”

“Despite Tulisa’s reluctance to chat with the press, we can see that she walks in a very confident and decisive manner. Her steps are strong, straight and confident, she does not drag.

“Her powerful strides show that the singer is happy to be there and that she intends to go home as a winner.”

Alan Halsall

Alan Halsall starred in Corrie as Tyrone Dobbs (Image: YouTube)

Coronation Street star Tyrone Dobbs was also spotted at the airport, and Inbaal said: “The perfect walk with dad shows Alan is ready for anything.

“His square shoulders, arms at his sides, quick, confident gait, and bright, sunny facial expression tell us that Alan is looking forward to his time in the jungle and plans to do his best.

“His consistent and simple body language shows that he doesn’t let any negative emotions get in the way of the adventure.”

If boxing legend Barry appears “dominant,” Inbaal adds: “It’s the chest that speaks when Barry arrives, carrying his entire posture forward.

“The former boxer walks big and strong, as you would expect of an athlete, but it’s his chest that leads the way.

“His prominent, puffy facade shows a confidence, almost a dominance.”

“Paired with his pointed, raised index finger when speaking to the press, it’s obvious that Barry has his eyes on the prize.”

In stark contrast is podcaster GK Barry who Inbaal said seemed “vulnerable”, as she said: “There’s a worried energy about GK arriving at the airport.”

“Starting with her neutral smile, which doesn’t project confidence, and then her stopping talking when her photo is taken, showing that she’s not completely comfortable with all the attention.

“An interesting observation is the way she pushes her airport cart – one hand on the handle as usual and one hand grabbing the handle from below.

“There is an air of fragility in this cupped hand, and then in the escalator, the podcaster places her hand on the rail very gently. She feels vulnerable going into the jungle.

Melvin Odoom, radio DJ

Radio DJ Melvin Odoom is also part of the star-studded lineup (Image: CLICK NEWS & MEDIA)

The most ‘quiet’ of them all is that of the BBC Radio 1 DJ, and after analysis, the expert shared: “Never has a man strolled through the arrivals hall of an airport more relaxed than the Melvin’s first moments at Brisbane airport.

“Walking with your feet a little apart, which shows confidence, your free arm swinging at your side in a completely neutral manner, without pretending to be something it is not.

“His other hand drags his own suitcase without airs or grace, and his expression – a toothy smile, eye contact with airport investigators – is the fearless, relaxed body language of a man going on vacation well-deserved, not a series of bug-ridden challenges. He seems excited to come on the show, completely calm and fearless.

While my comrade BBC presenter Dean McCullough appeared to potentially regret his decision.

Inbaal said: “Dean’s body language is really a mixed bag, as his stance and gait are confident – we see him walking straight ahead, shoulders pulled back, legs strong, showing that he is secure in itself, on certain aspects of the experience unless.

Jane Moore

“His face is a little nervous though. His eyes are rolling around, he’s licking his lips, and there’s a lot of facial agitation. This tells us that the DJ’s thoughts are racing.

Elsewhere, Loose Women’s Jane “walks around the airport, chatting to those around her, using broad, rounded arm gestures that let us know she’s going to be herself.”

“The eye contact with the interviewers around her also suggests that Jane has no intention of hiding her true personality.

Inbaal concluded: “What is interesting is that the palm of his hand twitches several times. This small movement could indicate some nervousness, even some frustration.”
