When was the last time the Chiefs lost? Kansas City’s Undefeated Odds, Remaining Schedule

“Loss” might as well be considered part of a foreign language in Kansas City. It’s a term that can’t be defined or used in a sentence, and there’s a good chance that any attempt to type the word will be met with an instant autocorrect saying “win.”

Fans from the less fortunate 31 fanbases need to reminisce about the good old days when the The leaders the kingdom was not that powerful. They sit in their rocking chairs, remembering the days when Tom Brady and the Patriots were in power. They ruled the league for nearly two decades, clinging to their influence with the help of what seemed like a higher power. No scandal could bring down these Patriots. Only Father Time, who ultimately comes for us all, has succeeded.

While fans rejoiced over the collapse of the dynasty, the destabilized league instead gave way to a new powerhouse that arose. Often overlooked, the flyover states gave birth to a sleeping giant that came in the form of Chefs.

The NFL imperialists have since conquered the map, mocking anyone who dares challenge them. THE Denver Broncos were courageous and came the closest to overthrowing the ruling class in 2024, only to have a field goal blocked in the final seconds in a sort of ode to an old Buffalo Wild Wings commercial.

Now the question is: will they ever lose again? More importantly, what happened to the last team that beat Kansas City? Let’s take a trip down memory lane to see the last time the Chiefs lost a game and if we should expect to see it happen again in the near future.

When was the last time the Chiefs lost?

The last time the Chiefs lost was on Christmas Day 2023 against the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 20-14.

Mariah Carey closed out another holiday season at the top of the charts with her hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” “The Color Purple” dominated the box office, foreshadowing the Gatorade that would be dumped on Andy Reid after his team repeated as champions in February. It seems like a lifetime ago, but the Chiefs are approaching the one-year anniversary of their last loss, something the club has seemingly since moved on from.

As for the Raiders, all they seem to know is losing. Vegas went all-in for this victory and the chips did not fall to them afterwards.

These Raiders produced two defensive touchdowns to earn the victory at Arrowhead Stadium. They were quarterbacks by Aidan O’Connellthe third player to serve as a starter that season, and were coached by Antonio Pierce, who was given the interim head coaching job after the team fired Josh McDaniels.

There’s not much in this game that makes sense when you think about it. Unless the Chiefs wake up with coal in their stockings, this is a loss that remains difficult to describe. It was their third loss in four weeks and fourth in six games following their bye week.

Kansas City felt like a vulnerable team at the time, but history shows that was a mistake. With the Chiefs looking to complete an undefeated season, the Raiders paid for their victory by losing two of their first nine games in 2024, returning to the league’s basement.

Will the Chiefs remain undefeated?

Perhaps the craziest part of the 2024 Chiefs is that they once again feel like a vulnerable team. They have suffered defeats often this season, but always end up winning. Although they appear to be a team of destiny, history shows that completing a season undefeated is unlikely at best.

There are many things to do and a desire to achieve them too. Chiefs unlikely to risk potential three-peat just to play Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and their other stars in Week 18 just to secure an undefeated season.

They will face arguably their toughest test yet, the Buffalo Bills in Week 11. If they can take down their foes Buffalo again, then it will be hard not to dream of them finishing the job. At this point, there would only be seven games left, with only the Steelers posing a potential problem at the moment.

Kansas City should be able to handle other opponents, but an off game in Week 18 continues to cloud the possibility of an undefeated season. Reid’s group has played a lot of football over the years. Entering the playoffs with potentially two weeks off could provide them with enough rest to complete their quest for three straight Super Bowls.

Don’t rule out an undefeated season, but don’t expect one either. Just enjoy the ride, unless you happen to find yourself among these 31 less fortunate fan bases.
