Christina Haack says she ‘didn’t enjoy’ filming ‘The Flip Off’ alongside her ‘insecure’ ex Josh Hall

Christine Haack opens up about the challenges of filming his next series, The reversalalongside her ex, Josh Hall.

The 41 year old man HGTV star shared with Entertainment tonight the one who works on the series – which also stars her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa — has been particularly difficult given her recent split from Hall earlier this year.

“When someone is insecure around you and doesn’t like to see you win, it really puts a damper on everything,” Haack told the outlet. “I feel like I wasn’t glowing as much, to try not to make him feel emasculated.” But who wants to live like that?

Reflecting on the experience, she added: “It wasn’t fun, to be honest. I didn’t like filming with him, so after we broke up, to be honest, it’s so much easier and so much better in every way.

Haack revealed that Hall’s early departure from the show after their breakup ultimately made production run smoother, saying that if he had stayed it “would have been difficult to film.”

She also addressed Hall’s alleged “jealousy” over her relationship with Tarek, with whom she shares two children: Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8. “(Hall) doesn’t like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some might call it ‘naughty,’” Haack explained. “…For me, it’s like a sibling kind of relationship. »

Haack noted that her breakup with Hall was not surprising to Tarek, as she had confided in him about the difficulties in her marriage for at least a year, if not longer.

Tarek also spoke to AND about the changes he noticed in Haack during filming. “At first she was going through it, you know, but she recovers very quickly,” he said. “You can see, his energy is back. She is happy. She is enthusiastic about life, she is doing well.

Speculation has arisen as to whether Haack’s other ex, Ant Anstead, might join the show following Hall’s departure. Asked about the possibility, Tarek hinted: “I think you will. »

Hall filed for divorce from Haack on July 15 after nearly three years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting spousal support. In his response, Haack requested that neither party receive spousal support.

After filing for divorce, Hall addressed the separation on Instagramsaying, “I prefer privacy, especially during something as upsetting as a divorce that I didn’t ask for.” He added: “I won’t disparage anyone publicly, because people have families, friends and other people who respect and love them. »

The reversal is expected to premiere in 2025.
